Terms of Service
Last updated: April 10, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ari (the "Platform"), operated by Anthology Reimagined LTD ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the revised Terms on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
ari is a social platform for discovering, creating, and organizing anchor cards — reference profiles for people, exhibitions, and topics in the art world. Users can save ("plop") anchor cards to personal collections, write notes, organize folders, and follow other users.
The Platform is provided "as is." We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
4. Accounts
To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.
5. User Content
5a. Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you create on ari, including anchor cards, notes, images you upload, and folder descriptions ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
5b. License Grant to ari
By posting User Content on the Platform, you grant Anthology Reimagined LTD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, and create derivative works of your User Content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Platform. This includes the right to:
- Display your content in feeds, search results, and anchor card pages
- Generate thumbnails, previews, and cached versions of images and links you submit
- Include your content in platform-generated metadata (e.g., Open Graph tags for social sharing previews)
- Use your content for platform analytics and service improvement (in aggregated, de-identified form)
This license survives termination of your account to the extent your content has been shared, plopped, or referenced by other users. You may delete your own content at any time, and we will make commercially reasonable efforts to remove it, subject to technical limitations (cached copies, backups, references by other users).
5c. Representations
By posting User Content, you represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to post the content
- Your content does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other legal rights of any third party
- You have obtained any necessary consents from identifiable individuals depicted in images you upload
- Your content does not violate any applicable law or regulation
6. Intellectual Property and Copyright
6a. Platform IP
The Platform, including its design, logos, trademarks, code, and original content, is owned by Anthology Reimagined LTD and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use the ari name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.
6b. Copyright Infringement Reports
We respect the intellectual property of others. If you believe that content on ari infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice by providing the following information to our designated agent. This process applies to claims under UK, EU, and US copyright law.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material on ari that you claim is infringing, with sufficient detail for us to locate it (e.g., URL)
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Send DMCA notices to: hello@anthologyreimagined.com
We will respond to valid takedown notices promptly. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, or that promotes violence or discrimination
- Post content that sexualizes minors in any way
- Upload images or content that you do not have the right to distribute
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the Platform to spam, phish, or distribute malware
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform beyond what is permitted by robots.txt
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other user accounts, or our systems
- Use the Platform's link preview feature to target internal or private network addresses
- Circumvent any content moderation or access-restriction measures
- Use the Platform for any commercial purpose (e.g., advertising, solicitation) without our written consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers or networks connected to it
8. Content Moderation
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, review, or remove User Content at our sole discretion, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. Content that is flagged for review may be hidden from public access immediately and without prior notice.
Flagged content may be permanently deleted after a review period. Creators of flagged content will not be able to edit the content while it is under review. We are not required to provide a reason for content removal, but we will make reasonable efforts to do so.
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may contact us at hello@anthologyreimagined.com to request a review.
9. Link Previews and External Content
When you add a link to a note, the Platform may automatically fetch metadata (title, description, thumbnail image) from the linked URL to generate a preview. This fetching is performed by our servers, not your browser.
We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of external websites linked through the Platform. The inclusion of a link preview does not imply our endorsement of the linked content.
10. Third-Party Services
The Platform uses third-party services to operate, including Clerk (authentication) and Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage). Your use of the Platform is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these providers. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Anthology Reimagined LTD, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your User Content, including any claim that it infringes the rights of a third party
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANTHOLOGY REIMAGINED LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of any User Content, including information in anchor cards, notes, or linked external content.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at hello@anthologyreimagined.com.
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason we deem appropriate, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections 5b (License Grant), 11 (Indemnification), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Disclaimer), and 14 (Governing Law) survive termination.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Anthology Reimagined LTD regarding your use of the Platform, and supersede all prior agreements.
